also i started playing an arcade tanking game called Tanki Online. it’s fast, fun, and conventient, but also incredibly infuriating at times. The maps tend towards the small side which makes crowding an issue, the game really seems to like spawning you in front of enemies(the most annoying issue so far), there’s no matchmaking beyond rank so matches are almost always extremely unbalanced, some of the maps are horribly balanced, and no matter what you do you’re probably going to get your ass kicked by somebody that paid real money for in-game items (though fortunately nothing is “premium”, it just takes a lot longer to grind the in-game currency for things than to buy them) until you’ve purchased enough of the basic parts.

Gripes aside the game is actually incredibly fun most of the time and quite addictive, and it’s a soaring achievement technically, since this multiplayer 3D game only runs on flash, in-browser, and /smoothly/ at that, even on a shitty laptop like mine (though the graphics are admittedly not that advanced). You’d think d/cs and lag would be major problems for a game like this, but I havent seen even a hint of either and little to no slowdown while playing. I’m impressed to say the least- This game runs smooth as polished glass.

Verdict so far? A great game that could benefit from better map design(namely larger maps), more intelligent spawning, and possibly some matchmaking. Go give it a try. Just don’t expect great conversation in-game: Like 90% of the players are Russian.

You know what’s crazy?! That some women don’t wear makeup to impress men. Some women do it because they like it. When I wear 5 different colors on my eyes with bright ass pink lipstick I KNOW that shit ain’t cute. But you know why I do it? Because makeup is about having fun and being artistic. So if you don’t like my fabulously defined eyebrows I’m okay with that, I didn’t need your approval anyways. I just think some men really need to put their egos to the side and STOP thinking that everything women do is to impress you guys.

But no. I like feeling sexy because it helps with MY confidence. It’s not about other guys, i’m already in a committed relationship, but I like feeling good about how I look. Also, even before my relationship I would wear sexy lacy underwear and bras, but NO ONE were seeing them, so why did I wear them? Certainly not because they’re comfortable. Because I feel great about myself when I’m wearing them.

Can we please stop calling white people Caucasian?

Caucasian refers to people from a specific area, The Cacaus Mountains.

Unless you are from that are, or your family was from that area, you are not Caucasian.

To add, the people from that are do not like even being considered European, let alone white.

I use “European” or just plain white. The dominant ethnic groups of the Caucasus region (Georgian, Armenian, and Ossetian) are extremely hard to classify, so it wouldn’t be entirely accurate to say Caucasian people aren’t white. Cultural perception of a Caucasian person’s race is some in-between between “white” and “brown” (eg Middle Eastern), and I’ve seen this vary even in application to a single person, depending on who you ask.

Yes, it does vary quite a bit. I know many would rather be considered middle eastern, which isn’t entirely inaccurate as that area used to be part of Sycthia which was Pre-irianian.

I have an Armenian friend who would probably be insulted if you called her white or European.

I had an Armenian friend back in high school myself. Their own stance on what their ethnicity should be considered was never too clear to me, but they found people struggling to pigeonhole them pretty amusing. It was always white or middle eastern, but I do remember a leaning towards middle eastern.
